Overview

The goal of the ABS is to lower apogee to 4444 ft. by inducing drag with rectangular tabs

Mechanism

The mechanism consists of a central hub that rotates, pushing the linkages and tabs radially outward. The tabs are made of nylon and the linkages are made of aluminum.

Construction and Analysis

The drag tabs and HDPE decks were CNC milled. All aluminum parts were also CNC milled, and the bulkhead was trimmed down on the lathe.
