Kathryn ShermaN
​Project Manager

Kathryn is a senior Aerospace Engineering and Chinese double major formerly in Flaherty Hall from Hopkins, Minnesota. This past summer, she interned for the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium working on an autonomous high-altitude glider. Kathryn enjoys gardening in her free time and keeps a big garden and strawberry patch in her backyard.​

NatE WISEMAN
​Vehicles LEad

Nate is a junior Aerospace Engineer with a minor in Music in Siegfried Hall from New Hope, Pennsylvania. This summer, he worked as the Pratt & Whitney intern in the Engineering Innovation Hub (EIH) and Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory (NDTL). Nate is the guitarist for an classic rock/indie that plays on campus and around South Bend.

Noah Janchar
​​Payload Lead

Noah is a junior Mechanical Engineering major in Carroll Hall from Weston, Massachusetts. Last summer, Noah interned for an electric motor startup using PCB stator technology. Noah has scuba dived with sharks multiple times!

JOnah Ikeda
RECOVERY Lead

Jonah is a senior Aerospace Engineer in Knott from Union, Kentucky. He spent the summer developing a machine-learning code to simulate combustion in a shock tube. Jonah was once able to eat a Southwest Salad in 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

AIDAN FLYNN
APOGEE COntrol System Lead

Aidan is a junior Aerospace Engineering major in O'Neill from Aurora, Ohio. This summer, he studied abroad in Japan. Aidan is such an avid chess player that he had to put in a two-hour screen time limit on his phone for Chess.com!

Maddy PIERONEK
​SAFETY OFFICER

Maddy is a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major and NDISC fellow in Flaherty Hall from Manhattan Beach, California. She spent the summer training for a month in San Diego, CA with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps and then studied abroad in Galway, Ireland. Maddy will fiercely defend cherry pop tart supremacy.

Mary Daniher
Systems lead

Mary is a junior Aerospace Engineer in Badin Hall from Redwood City, California. She interned with Notre Dame Propulsion & Power last summer, where she worked on the experimental testing of an axial compressor developed by Pratt & Whitney. Outside of academics, Mary enjoys running and camping!

​Hunter Koch
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LEAD

Hunter is a senior electrical engineering major in Stanford Hall from Westchester, New York. Hunter spent this past summer as an hardware engineering intern working on Lockheed Martin's F35 simulator. Amazingly, Hunter has never had coffee!

Tim Roberts
​NDXP Liquid Propulsion lead

Tim is a senior Aerospace Engineering major in Dillon Hall from Fort Collins, Colorado. This past summer, Tim conducted research on Hall effect thrusters at Colorado State University. Tim plays trombone in the Notre Dame Marching Band and has met three astronauts in person!

Saitta is a sophomore Mechanical Engineer in Lewis Hall from Long Island, New York. This summer, Saitta studied abroad in London. Saitta knows how to crochet!

Educational Outreach Lead

Dalton is a sophomore Aerospace Engineer living in Keough Hall from Lake Zurich, Illinois. This summer, he studied abroad in Rome and received his NAR Level 1 High Power Rocketry certification. Dalton is an avid rock climber!

Jenna is a sophomore Aerospace Engineer living in McGlinn from Dayton, Ohio. This past summer, Jenna worked on cars in the junkyard with her dad. Jenna loves to skydive!

Joseph is a sophomore Mechanical Engineer in Baumer from Gallatin, Tennessee. This summer, he worked for a nonprofit, building homes for flood survivors. Joseph plays the banjo for a band!

Caitlyn is a sophomore Mechanical Engineer in Lewis Hall from Howell, New Jersey. Caitlyn spent the summer taking classes, working at a local surf shop, and enjoyed spending time outside at the Jersey Shore. Caitlyn enjoys antiquing, thrift shopping, and collecting vinyl records.

Alex is a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major in Siegfried Hall from Indianapolis, Indiana. This summer, he worked at a local concert venue setting up for shows and assisting with maintenance, security, and parking during concerts. Alex is an aspiring DJ!

Luke is a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major in Dunne Hall from Eastchester, New York. Luke spent his summer learning Computational Fluid Dynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. He also tutored in mathematics. Luke is in Air Force ROTC!

Dominik is a junior mechanical engineering and theology (supplementary) major in O'Neill from San Diego, California. He spent the summer working on robotics research for Argonne National Lab in Chicago. Dominik loves skiing and obscure references to 2000s movies!

TOri Garascia
Media lead

Tori is a junior chemical engineer in McGlinn Hall from Chicago, Illinois. She spent the past summer conducting research on campus in the SMIL+E lab. Tori got to sing the Alma Mater to Pope Francis with the Magnificat Choir!

J. Jacobowitz​
Graduate Student advisor

J. Jacobowitz is an aerospace engineering graduate student studying under Dr. MacArt in the MacRTL research group. His research focuses on computational fluid dynamics for high-speed reacting flows with current work on deep learning chemical kinetic models. Like most of his fellow graduate students, he spent the summer doing research in lovely South Bend, Indiana.
